2024 Draft Profile: BYU's Kingsley Suamataia
Suamataia is so young, but with development, patience, and desire, he can be great.
Between now and April, I plan on looking at as many prospects as I can for the 2024 Draft and will spend 200 snaps with each of them and then share my thoughts with you. I don’t claim to be some high draft authority and will have plenty of missed evaluations, but I watch each of these guys as best I can. I still think it is better to do the work than to shrug and say “nobody knows.” Each of these profiles will be short, but I will attempt to provide a thumbnail sketch as well as some information and videos (borrowed from twitter) to expedite our project.
It certainly makes sense that we saved this one for the start of NFL Combine week, because some guys are expected to turn some heads and the guy I look forward to seeing workout is BYU tackle, Kingsley Suamataia.
No 78 - Kingsley Suamataia - Age 21 - RS Sophomore - 6’6 - 325 - BYU
There are players in every draft that we did not expect to get everyone’s attention so fast and Suamataia is right there as a player who is so young, so talented, and yes, so raw. He will take some refinement, but boy, if that works out, this is another one to push this tackle class off the charts altogether.
