2024 Draft Profile: Penn St's LT Olu Fashanu

The offensive line continues with yet another tailor-made prospect from State College.

Between now and April, I plan on looking at as many prospects as I can for the 2024 Draft and will spend 200 snaps with each of them and then share my thoughts with you. I don’t claim to be some high draft authority and will have plenty of missed evaluations, but I watch each of these guys as best I can. I still think it is better to do the work than to shrug and say “nobody knows.” Each of these profiles will be short, but I will attempt to provide a thumbnail sketch as well as some information and videos (borrowed from twitter) to expedite our project.

Today, let’s look at one of the biggest names in this draft, Penn State’s left tackle Olu Fashanu.

No 74 - Olu Fashanu - Age 21 - RS Junior - 6’6 - 317 - Penn State

Again, I just want to reiterate today as we do it again, this is definitely not normal to happen upon this many different tackles that appear to be this top-shelf promising.

Olu Fashanu is a player who people have been talking about since the last draft as the franchise tackle of this group and last summer was seen as possibly the top non-QB in this entire 2024 draft. That is some very high praise. His work at Penn State is basically the last two seasons where he was a regular at left tackle.
