2024 NFL Draft Profile: Duke OL Graham Barton
Offensive Line Group Is Plenty Deep this year in high-end talent and Barton is that.
Between now and April, I plan on looking at as many prospects as I can for the 2024 Draft and will spend 200 snaps with each of them and then share my thoughts with you. I don’t claim to be some high draft authority and will have plenty of missed evaluations, but I watch each of these guys as best I can. I still think it is better to do the work than to shrug and say “nobody knows.” Each of these profiles will be short, but I will attempt to provide a thumbnail sketch as well as some information and videos (borrowed from twitter) to expedite our project.
Today’s project is an impressive lineman from Duke, Graham Barton.
#62 - OL Graham Barton - Sr - Age 21 (June 1, 2002) - 6’5 - 315 - Duke
Barton is one of the prospects I wanted to start with this year because of the buzz I have heard going back a few months about the depth of the 2024 draft being at offensive line and then some of my colleagues were quick to throw out some of these flexible types who fit the profiles of what they look for in the Cowboys draft room.
Now, as we do this, we are not going to be able to tell you exactly where they fall in the draft, because I see no real benefit from collecting other people’s rankings or mock information. All I want is some names that we should be familiar with and then I will stack them in this process. So, if we start with Barton as our first, then he will be our best and worst evaluation by default and then we will start stacking as we get to about ten names and the rest will take care of itself.
Barton is a very seasoned college player with over 2,500 snaps. He played in all four years at Duke where he filled in on the interior as a freshman and then became the starting left tackle for 2021-2023 where he has handled the edge for Mike Elko’s squad the last few seasons.
