Our class of defensive tackles continues today with a player that will never fly under the radar of anyone. Kentucky’s Deone Walker busted out at a very high level in 2023 when he was incredibly impactful as a pass rush threat from all over the defensive line and then attracted all sorts of attention in 2024 and we saw his numbers diminish somewhat.

Still, when we see a player this big who has already served three years of full-time duty in the SEC with impressive results, we know that he is someone that we should study carefully.

We definitely can see how opponents plan for Walker by the amount of attention he attracts by opposing game plans. He is a problem that must be solved against a very talented Kentucky defensive structure and watching his raw skills get developed in real time is both evident and a work in progress.
