2025 Draft Profile - Iowa RB Kaleb Johnson
He was a major problem this year in the Big Ten and performed every week.
It is running back week! I did a blind draw and Kaleb Johnson got the first slot.
No. 2 - Kaleb Johnson - Age 21 - Jr - 6’1 - 224 - 4.57 - Iowa
He is big and he also runs the slowest 40-time of our six featured backs. But, having seen him dominate many a game, I am not too worried about a 4.57 given that around here we remember Emmitt Smith’s 4.56.
Kaleb is from Hamilton, Ohio and was a three sport star who was only able to draw a 3-star status and the 36th best RB in the class of ‘22. He originally was off to California, but opted late for Iowa.
2023 - Started 5 games, missed a month with injury.
2024 - All Big-Ten (1st) and All American - Big Ten RB of the Year. Finalist for the Doak Walker award with single season records at Iowa for Touchdowns and scoring.
2022 - 269 snaps, 51 Missed tackles, 504 Yards after contact, 2 fumbles - 79.8 PFF
2023 - 181 snaps, 19 Missed tackles, 306 Yards after contact, 2 fumbles - 65.2 PFF
2024 - 450 snaps, 66 Missed tackles, 1,060 Yards after contact, 0 fumbles - 86.5 PFF
