No. 8 - Elijah Arroyo - Age 21 - RS Junior - 6’4 - 251 - Miami
A huge 2024 popped for Arroyo after barely making a ripple in his first three years. We assume that being on the field with Cam Ward didn’t hurt and then being noticed by being on his every tape helped, too.
Frisco, Texas and Independence HS where he was a 4-Star recruit and a sprinter as well. Joined the Hurricanes as a member of their ‘21 class as 4th rated TE in the country (behind Brock Bowers and two others).
2021 was mostly special teams as a true freshman.
2022 and 2023 both cut short with ACL injury that lingered through big parts of two seasons.
2024 - fully fit finally and he really flourished finishing 3rd in country for most receptions with 20+ air yards amongst Power-4 tight ends.
2021 - 141 snaps, 63% receptions, 45% slot, 0 drops - 61.0 PFF
2022 - 138 snaps, 71% receptions, 14% slot, 0 drops - 54.9 PFF
2023 - 69 snaps, 100% receptions, 67% slot, 0 drops - 48.3 PFF
2024 - 650 snaps, 75% receptions, 51% slot, 1 drop - 71.7 PFF
