2025 Draft Profile - Ole Miss' DT JJ Pegues

Several different Ole Miss DL are in this mix, Pegues has really stepped forward in '24.

No. 38/89 - JJ Pegues - Age 23 - Senior - 6’2 - 325 - Mississippi

When you look at the statistics below, you will notice something odd about his freshman year at Auburn; Pegues was a tight end who had seven catches for the Tigers in 2020. But, he was not an offensive player for long. The idea to move him to the defensive line came next and so did a portal transfer back home to Oxford and Ole Miss in 2022. He continues to get bigger and the tape gets better.

• Led his high school team in touchdowns as a RB/TE combo.

• Grew up in Oxford, MS, but the 4-star left home to go to Auburn.

• Originally a tight end, moved to DT in 2021

• Red-shirt senior had his best season in 2024 by a distance.
