2025 Draft Profile - Texas TE Gunnar Helm

Helm had to patiently wait and develop, but his final season in Austin turned all heads.

No. 85 - Gunnar Helm - Age 22 - Senior - 6’5 - 250 - Texas

He had to wait his turn, but immediately gained draft attention in 2024 as one of many new starters on an offense that was excellent all season long.

• Englewood, Colorado native was a 3-star recruit (also a basketball player) who chose Texas from a number of options in the class of ‘21.

• 2021 was all special teams and 2022 & 2023 was used fractionally more each year as a backup option at tight end.

• 2024 All-SEC (2nd team) - had a massive breakout season and was exceptional.

2022 - 260 snaps, 100% receptions, 10% slot, 0 drops - 55.3 PFF

2023 - 553 snaps, 82% receptions, 14% slot, 0 drops - 49.0 PFF

2024 - 1054 snaps, 82% receptions, 22% slot, 2 drops - 62.9 PFF
