2025 Draft Profile - Texas WR Isaiah Bond
Nothing moves up the charts like blazing speed in today's NFL and Bond has plenty.
Our next wide receiver is our first one who is “smallish”, but with that comes the ability to get open with speed and suddenness.
No. 7 - Isaiah Bond - Age 20 - Junior - 5’11 - 180 - Texas
He spent two years at Alabama before coming over to Texas for 2024. And he needs no big introductions to those that follow the college game.
Class of ‘22, football and track star in Georgia and won the 100m and 200m in the state multiple times. Was a 4-star recruit as a receiver and return man.
Played two seasons for Alabama in 2022-2023 and hit the portal when Nick Saban retired.
Moved to Texas in 2024 and saw his yards per reception jump substantially.
2022 - 325 snaps at Alabama, 62% receptions, 41% slot, 2 drops - 57.8 PFF
2023 - 507 snaps at Alabama, 63% receptions, 61% slot, 2 drops - 74.7 PFF
2024 - 444 snaps, 64% receptions, 24% slot, 1 drop - 74.0 PFF
Bond had a tremendous first month at Texas, but then suffered an ankle injury against Oklahoma that plagued him the rest of the season. Therefore, I have selected film from 2023 at Alabama and 2024 before the injury below. Texas A&M and Auburn in 2023 and Michigan in 2024. Bond was No. 17 at Alabama and No. 7 for Texas.
