2025 Profile Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders
Popping in the tape on Sanders reveals plenty of ability and a very high QB IQ.
We begin our march through the top QBs with a look at the most famous of them all.
No. 2 - Shedeur Sanders - Age 23 - Senior - 6’1 - 212 - Colorado
The son of his head coach, Deion Sanders, Shedeur is as discussed as it gets. But, there is a lot to like in his college career where he played 26 games at Jackson State and 24 more at Colorado.
Born in Tyler and raised in Dallas, Shedeur played his high school ball at Trinity Christian in Cedar Hill. He was a 4-year starter there and was a 3-star recruit who eventually joined his father at Jackson State.
He won the Jerry Rice Award as a college freshman at Jackson State as most outstanding freshman, becoming the first HBCU player to win the award.

We used three games to really examine his 2024 tape for this evaluation. We have Baylor, Kansas, and Kansas State contests.
Let’s dive in.
I decided to offer bigger cuts here so you can see both angles of these plays. Obviously, I cut it down to 5 minutes, but this should give you an idea about a lot of different elements of his game.
The issues with Shedeur have been the scheme of Colorado (most of the throws are to the flats in the form of WR screens and other scheme throws), the quality of his cast, the strength of his arm, and whether he has enough NFL traits.
