60 Minutes: On The "Micah vs Jerry" Show
The Slogan "Nothing Ever Changes Because Nothing Ever Changes" Is Alive And Well.
When news is happening, time is short, but yet I want to get something out to the Sturmstack Family, I am trying a new series called “60 Minutes” which has nothing to do with the longest-running series on television. Rather, I literally set my clock for one hour and sit down and type my instant thoughts to you. Most pieces I write take 4-to-6 hours in total, but that is not available for these. One hour is my maximum window for this one. So, here are the best 60 minutes I can offer you on short notice:
This was in our chat yesterday from Lee:
Bob, can we get your take on the latest Athletic report that Micah and ownership are headed for a split? It sounds like Jerry is trying to stick Micah to a conversation they had in March, whereas Micah is saying that was casual and to talk to his agent, which Jerry is now refusing to do because they already had a “deal.” If it’s all true, this might be the most childish and self-defeating thing Jerry has done yet.
A bit later, Lee updated himself:
Well he’s now requested a trade. Ssssick
And then Micah Parsons filled in the blanks himself here and you can click through and enjoy Micah’s three page Iphone Notes response to the day’s activity.
In short, "I no longer want to play for the Dallas Cowboys. My trade request has been submitted to Stephen Jones personally."
Quick background for those who wish to have some – Micah is entering his fifth season and the final year of his contract. Of the 2021 NFL Draft first-round players taken in the top half of the round, we can safely argue that Micah Parsons is the only “non-bust” player who has not been extended.
