Draft Profile - Missouri's Ennis Rakestraw
The Dallas product has really grown into his abilities and plays like a prototype slot CB.
I think I will try to make sure I get two more cornerbacks who have received buzz during this draft season and then I will move along to the few tight ends and a batch of wide receivers as we approach the end of our journey of this draft season. Today, it is our second Missouri Tigers defender, Ennis Rakestraw.
No. 2 - Ennis Rakestraw - Age 22 - RS Junior - 6’0 - 188 - Missouri
Rakestraw is particularly interesting because he is from Dallas and went to school at Duncanville and lost a heart-breaker in the state final in his senior year. He was named the 2019 Dallas Morning News Defender of the Year and when he did he suddenly went from almost no D1 offers to all sorts of them.
His development has been a long road, but by the time he was done at Missouri, he had won a lot of games and played nearly 2,000 snaps. By the time he arrived at this draft, he had put together a very nice body of overall work.
