Help Wanted - Cowboys Roster's Big Needs

To figure out the draft and free agency, we better get an idea of where things sit.

I have made the decision that today is the first day of the 2025 Cowboys season. They are going to need a head coach, a full coaching staff, and a clue, but we have everything else we need to at least turn the page and start to get on with things.

So, this is our very first step in that direction.

You may or may not have noticed that the Sturm 60 profiles have begun. We are at the very start there, so you didn’t miss much, but Mason Graham will be known as the very first player we looked at in 2025. By the way, if somehow we find Graham in a Cowboys uniform by the end of April, I will count this draft season as a solid success. Our first guy and I have found a dude I really like.

Why am I taken with him? Well, he is a defensive tackle and a very good one. But even that part is probably more information than is needed. Again, he plays defensive tackle, and this team has almost nobody there.

I assume that every time I see a good defensive tackle in this cycle, I am going to think about how the Cowboys might not have much of anyone in that room right now.

And that is our goal today. Let’s look at each position on the chart above to see what is most pressing as we enter our NFL silly season of decisions and new pathways.
