Good Morning on this March 17 for your WBOF (weekly bag of footballs) update on everything the Cowboys have done – and not done – since last Monday.

This one will probably spend a huge amount of time on the many moves that this organization has made in the last week. Clearly, they are trying a different approach this year. They are still not splashing a whole lot of cash and they are also still not bringing in many starters. But, they are also not just sitting there on their hands.

We will call them…."conservatively aggressive,” I guess.

Weekly Cowboys Transactions

🏈 - March 10 - Cowboys sign RB Javonte Williams

Todd Archer has this for a one-year, $3 million deal with a chance to get to $3.5 million as the UNC runner joins after four years with the Denver Broncos. Below, you can see his four year production which included an absolutely massive knee injury in 2022.

Obviously, the stats since the knee are not very good and as a running back it is worth noting that he played a huge majority of the snaps in Denver but had a minimal amount of carries in this most recent playoff run.

However, it is worth noting that he has 99 receptions in the last two years which puts him 7th in the entire league amongst RBs. So, if we may assume anything, it appears the Cowboys want to grab a bargain back who allows for some better safety-valve options for the QB in passing situations.
