My Three Thoughts on TCU-Colorado

I am not at Substack without the late, great Grant Wahl showing me how great it was when he broke off on his own and started writing amazing work. I subscribed as soon as I could and my education of writing and soccer improved. One thing that I loved that he did was to write a review of games he was watching in quick and brief fashion and called it “three thoughts”. These will not be 2,500 words, but rather probably 800-1,000. But, they will be my three main takeaways from various games I watch that probably would not warrant an entire piece due to time (or whatnot). I wanted to say this at the top because Wahl’s death last December made me very sad and this format and activity is very much my small tribute to him. Rest in Peace, Grant.

Now, on to our story.

Colorado pulled an incredible upset over TCU, 45-42, on Saturday in Fort Worth in a true “game of the year” candidate, I am sure. These are my three thoughts.
