NFL Draft Profile - Florida State's RB Trey Benson
If you are looking for a home run hitter, Benson might be that guy outside the tackles.
Very excited to spend the next week diving into the top of the RB crop. In most consensus lists, RBs do not really factor into the top 50 prospects, but then an entire group seem to range between 51-100 and it is my hope to get a feel for those half-dozen or so prospects in this next range. So let’s grab one and get going. Today, we shall examine the tape of Trey Benson.
No. 3 - Trey Benson - Age 21 - RS Junior - 6’0 - 216 - 4.39 - Florida State
Benson has been mentioned at the top of this group for almost a year now after transferring to the Seminoles after two years at Oregon. His career there never really got off the ground as he only played 14 snaps for the Ducks in two seasons that included the COVID year and an ACL injury.
But, once he got settled in at FSU, we quickly saw what all the hype was about. He has the profile we seek when we see him up between 215-220 pounds, good height, and then a tremendous 40 time and 10-yard split.
