NFL Draft Profile - Texas A&M's Edgerrin Cooper
The Aggies produce one of the most impressive run-and-hit LBs in this draft season.
The linebacker group in this year’s draft is not particularly deep, but there are a number of prospects that belong in the top 50-100 players and will definitely make a team better. One that I am quite familiar with is Edgerrin Cooper from Texas A&M, one of the true bright spots on a defense that had its moments in 2023.
No. 24 - Edgerrin Cooper - Age 22 - Senior - 6’2 - 230 - 4.51 - Texas A&M
Cooper embodied the proper development of a high school star growing into his body and skills as a college defender. He barely played at all in 2020 and then gradually worked his way into a top leader on that defense and a guy who made all the plays in his final season at the helm.
