NFL Draft Profile - Texas' RB Jonathon Brooks
Can you take potentially the best RB in the entire class if he is healing from an ACL?
Our next Running Back from this class will take us to the most pressing questions of them all – if a guy is healing off an ACL, do you dare if his talent levels are high enough? Consider the curious case of Jonathon Brooks.
No. 24 - Jonathon Brooks - Age 20 - RS Soph - 6’0 - 216 - 4.45 - Texas
Brooks is the pride of Hallettsville, Texas, where he was a high school legend before going to Texas and sitting behind an amazing one-two punch in 2021 and 2022 that consisted of Bijan Robinson and Roschon Johnson. This, as you might imagine, caused him to wait his turn until 2023. But, the wait was quite worth it as he put out an All Big 12 season that seemed to get better as it went. At least until he was injured against TCU late in the season and tore his ACL. Now, it is a race to prove to teams he is still that guy as draft day approaches.
