NFL Draft Profile - Yale's Kiran Amegadjie
The Ivy League gives us a player who has all sorts of upside along with many questions.
Every year we get someone from a significantly different level of competition and we have to try to figure out how his data and tape should be digested. This one is a fantastic story that is one of the stories of the 2024 draft. It is Kiran Amegadjie from Yale:
No. 72 - Kiran Amegadjie - Age 22 - Senior - 6’5 - 323 - Yale
Pronounced (ah-meh-gah-gee), Kiran has an excellent backstory that is best told by Dane Brugler here. He was not terribly involved in youth sports and would travel to Africa every summer, so he gravitated to basketball. He tried football and it didn’t go well, so he really didn’t play the sport until 10th grade and was not pursued much as a recruit. He had 22 scholarship offers but just one FBS, so he took the invitation to Yale and has never turned back.
