The Stars playoffs continue this week and here at #SturmStack, it’s perfect time to bring in our editor and resident hockey expert, Sean Shapiro, to chat about our Dallas Stars against the Winnipeg Jets.

One of the things I love about Sean’s coverage is that he has a Stars focus, but also keeps a view at the league at large — the perfect mix of local and national, which brings an important focus, especially come playoff time.

You can follow his tremendous work here, and should, during the playoffs.

OK, let’s get into it!

Bob: I think we have all recovered enough from a weekend of Game 7s to perhaps move along to Round 2.

The great news is that there is a Round 2 for the Dallas Stars because that was in serious doubt a few hours into Saturday Night, but if anyone can relate, it would be the boys up in Winnipeg who were under two seconds from their summer. One good Game 7 miracle deserves another, Sean!

The rougher news is that you could train a chicken to preview Stars-Avalanche, because everyone knows the main players on both sides and the main plot lines.

But, Stars-Jets? I am straining to remember too many non Rick Bowness-related stories unless we want to attach the rights to Kari Lehtonen in here somehow. This is fresh and new in a sport where very little is fresh and new.

Where do we start when we think about this Winnipeg team? They have always been a challenge for the Stars in the regular season, but this is wholly different for all involved.
