The 2025 "Sturm 60" Draft Primer & FAQ
As we begin our draft profile journey, here is our annual post to explain and prepare:
Parts of this essay have been used in years past for this annual primer.
This has been a big week in the annual Sturmstack calendar. With the Cowboys out of the playoffs (unfortunately), it quickly becomes time to get working on the NFL Draft. There is almost nothing more important to the fortunes of a team than drafting—I realize an ownership change might help, too.
So, as is the annual tradition, now is a great time to make sure that everyone is up to speed on our NFL Draft preparation cycle and to bring the newbies up to speed on what exactly the “Sturm 60” is, anyway.
In short, the Sturm 60 is my effort to personally examine the 60 most interesting, relevant, and talented prospects in this draft, mostly from a Dallas Cowboys perspective.
I realize that can mean many things, and I assure you that every year, I do it just a bit differently, but my ultimate goals are (A) to prepare for three months for the draft by grabbing a new prospect nearly every day and, if I do this right, (B) to spend 200 snaps on everyone the Cowboys ultimately draft in Rounds 1-3 before they actually pick them.
So, plan on at least 60 player profiles, but I have made it to 75 before, so who knows?
There are two ways to see each completed profile. The easiest one is on the website, there is a topic link at the very top that you can use whenever you want to roll through files. You can also make sure your account profile has opted-in to all of the profiles being emailed directly to you.
The other way, is to simply bookmark our main landing page which is being updated daily to reflect any new editions to the list when we post them daily.
