We called this a massive test game for Dallas and they passed it with some ease.

The Dallas Mavericks jumped back into action Thursday against their old rivals from Phoenix. It was a key showdown that determines the season series tiebreaker as well as who holds the No. 6 seed in the standings this morning, Dallas played a dominant second half and continued its 7-game win streak with a 123-113 win. It pushed their record to 33-23, the first time they have worked their way to 10 games over .500 this season.

These are My Three Thoughts:

– This was a key game that needed to be put in the win column, so to see Dallas play sluggishly early but then step on the neck of the Suns, and find a gear to win with comfort is reassuring.

There were two stretches in this game that were flat-out ridiculous from a Mavericks standpoint. Both show the high-end potential of having Luka and Kyrie on the same roster at the same time.
