Three Thoughts - Another Horrid Game 1

Mavericks have a habit of slow-stepping into a series, but Boston is a different animal.

This was not the plan.

Dallas went into another Game 1 and looked shellshocked and cooked early as they entered the NBA Finals in Boston.

Yes, it is just one game and, no, the series is far from over. But in terms of setting the tone and delivering the first message, I think we can all comfortably say that the early advantage goes to the Boston Celtics.

Boston dominated the first quarter and quickly jumped out to a significant 37-20 lead that further ignited a Celtics home crowd that needed no assistance on their way to an easy 107-89 win in Game 1 of the Best-of-7 2024 NBA Finals.

These are My Three Thoughts:

–I know we have our choices on what to be most bothered by in this Game 1 debacle, but for me, I would have to suggest the entire offense transformed into the worst version of itself. For this team to have an opportunity to compete against an opponent this good, you are going to have to get back to what you do best offensively.
