Three Thoughts - Manchester City at Liverpool
A battle for the top of table offers two hours of high blood pressure and great soccer.
For my money, the best rivalry of this generation in English Football had its final showdown Sunday between the two managers who have been a cut above the field in every regard. Manchester City visited Liverpool at Anfield in a match that simply explains why many of us find this league to be one of our greatest vices. Given that I used to eagerly await my late leader Grant Wahl’s missive on big matches that can’t be missed, I do this in his honor on a much smaller scale but hopefully 50% as well.
