Three Thoughts - Mavericks at Clips, Gm 5

Sometimes, you can feel the opponent starting to realize that the end is near.

The Mavericks capped off a wonderful DFW playoff double header with a decisive victory of their own.

What a magical Wednesday in Dallas. May 1st, the day the Dallas Stars and Dallas Mavericks both scored pivotal Game 5 wins against stubborn foes and put both teams in position to advance with just one more win.

Dallas took out the Clippers with some mighty haymakers in Game 5 at the arena formerly known as the Staples Center, 123-93, and have a chance to finish the job in Dallas on Friday.

These are My Three Thoughts:

– Paint domination and team defense have become the Mavericks calling card and identity since the trade deadline and they made certain that it would wear out the Clippers as this series went through the second week of the series. There would be no other path to advancing. The Mavericks had to defend.
