Three Thoughts: Mavs v Thunder, Game 3
Dallas looks to take lead in the series and keep control of the home court advantage.
Sometimes, playoff basketball hits different. This was one of those days.
The Mavericks and Thunder waged a fantastic Game 3 in the best-of-seven Series on Saturday in. It has many things to discuss and I will do exactly that below.
So, prepare yourself….If you are watching this game on a delay of some sort you better stop here.
There will be many spoilers below this line.
Dallas showed some excellent guts as a squad that is “team tough” by answering every single challenge over the course of an extremely physical battle and won Game 3 on Saturday, 105-101. This gives them a two-games-to-one advantage as the series waits for Game 4 to be played in Dallas on Monday.
These are My Three Thoughts:
– This is true playoff basketball where the teams are going to have to deal with contact and the parade to the free throw line will not exist in either direction. It is a man’s game out there and only the strong will survive.
There will not be a finesse 3-point competition and there will not be referees bailing out acting jobs with touch fouls and protection. There will be bruises and pain and it will be a grind to survive and to outlast a stubborn opponent. This is a strong basketball battle in the month of May.
And you know something, I love it.
