Three Thoughts - Stars Pull Even, Get Gm 2
Western Finals are squared at 1-1 as Dallas finally finds its game to beat Edmonton.
If there is one thing that Dallas does very well this playoff, it is the ability to rise up and get a win when they have needed most. This team is now 5-1 when immediately responding to a loss, including five straight victories. They needed this one in the worst way because this challenge appears to be as stiff as any they have faced so far.
To the Stars credit, the response was imperative.
Dallas won a very important Game 2 on Saturday 3-1, and evened the series with Edmonton at one game apiece as the series shifts to Alberta for the next two games, starting Monday.
These are My Three Thoughts:
–The Stars had to grind out a result and it would have to start with raising their game to the level of Edmonton’s. They finally were able to do that after their goalie kept them close in that 1st Period. Once again, Jake Oettinger probably deserves significantly more credit than he is being given.
