Love the Barnhouse guest columns!

Fun article! Thanks for refraining from the Aggie jokes. We are in enough pain. 😂

Thanks for the kind words. It's always a challenge to come up with an "ender" that isn't flat.

I'm trying to be kinder in 2024. :)

Good article. Thanks.

FYI- Bear Bryants last game was a win in the 1982 Liberty Bowl.

AARRGHH. $%@*!

You are correct, sir. Hurried and bumbling research on my part.

Thanks for reading and for your sharp eyes.

I miss having knowledgeable editors. ;

I love this addition…Barnhouse is a great writer…he shouldn’t have retired. He still has game.

Tim:

Thanks for the kind words. Dude, I turn 70 next month. I enjoy playing golf too much in the summer to practice my "game." But, I promise to bug Bob with guest efforts when the topic is compelling and the spirit moves.

Best regards

I guess it's a good idea to be a legend. Anybody you recruit will be happy to play for you. We need to clone legends.

Yes, on that college application when asked for a student’s ambition, they should answer, “Become a legend.”

Hey Wendell, great column. Love your added voice to Sturmstack! Note, in 5th paragraph about LSU’s title: “In 2023 he helped revive...” Should be 2003, no?

Bob:

John Wooden used to say, "Be quick, don't hurry."

I was quick and I hurried and I fumbled into the end zone... TWICE. LOL

Double AARRGHH. $%@*!

You are, like John, correct.

And thanks for reading.

I hate to add nothing to the conversation but a correction:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Justin_Fuente

It looks like Mr Barnhouse pulled the Total games and wins instead of wins and losses from Fuentes W-L record as Hokies coach. 43-31 (total 74 games) noy 74-43. That would be a lot of games over six seasons!!

Great to read Wendell again. Guess it was he that I got the same answer from. So glad Sarkisian is staying at Texas.

Enjoyed this one! I'm an Alabama fan and I believe they hired the best possible guy to follow the GOAT. I hope that the OC (Grubb) comes with DeBoer. He would really benefit Milroe and the QB room too. Any thoughts or updates on that possibility?

Thanks, glad you like it.

Alabama isn't gonna fall off a cliff. CFB is entering a Strange New World. It will be years before we'll know how well DeBoer handles the challenge.

Grubb has been with DeBoer for quite some time. I have no clue if he'll follow him to Bama. Probably depends on if Washington promotes him to head coach. If not, it would seem logical he'll stick with DeBoer. As quickly as these moves are happening, you'll probably know before I do. ;)
