I said this plenty of times over the last 20 years. One of the best things that ever happened to me was getting fired from my last job. It forced some changes on me that I didn’t want to do because of the uncertainty of being unemployed in working for myself. However, it forced me to go out on my own, a couple of angels in the form of other human beings helped me out. One gave me an office for free for a year and another one referred me enough business that I could make it on my own . and now I’m making five times or more what I was making working at my last job. I know that God was working the entire time no doubt.
The same thing happened to me. Getting pressured to leave a long-time position I was comfortable in was the hardest thing I've ever had to live through, by far, but now that I own my own business I have tremendous day-to-day freedom and flexibility and drastically more income than I had in the old job.
Please excuse my ignorance on how Substack works, but I don't see an option to renew at the lower rate. I am currently a yearly subscriber at $80/yr, but only see an option to change my subscription to either $8/month or $150/yr to be a Founding member.
Either way, that extra $16 isn't changing much, so not a huge deal. Keep doing what you do playboy!
Thanks, DT. To the very best of my knowledge, it is a new-subscriber rate. You might be able to cancel and get the rate, but I don't think it applies to renewals. Sorry for the confusion.
When I click the link it has my subscription as good till December with auto renewal at that time, it doesn't give me an option to do this discount, any advice on how to make it work?
Maybe, I was going to accept the discount but I think it might not be available to me because I’m not a new subscriber. You’re worth what you ask, I’ve learned SO much from you, so thank you, I’m staying regardless. Thanks for the hard work you put in here!
Yessir. The special pricing is for new subs, but there is probably a way to cancel and then re-sub as a new, but I am not sure if it is worth the trouble. :) Thanks for the support!
