The Sturm 60: We Have Finished The Job
Well, sort of. We actually still have another bunch to get to in April, but here are 60!
We made it!
The Sturm 60 for 2025 has finished. Sort of. I always place the number at 60 because that is enough to get us through most of the “high interest” portion of the draft weekend, but also allows me to maintain my other responsibilities in life.
Yet, when I get to 60, I see another 20-25 players that I will regret not giving a day to and that keeps me on the brink of craziness (a comfortable place for me).
The truth is that to be thorough in the NFL Draft, you probably should try to do 300 players and I just can’t do that. So, my compromise is to work through what I perceive to be the 60 players that are a combination of the best, the most interesting, and hopefully the most relevant to the interests of the Dallas Cowboys first three rounds.
We hit on many of them every year and we miss on a few. But, here is our final batch of six that we did this week:
WEEK 10 PROFILES:
2025 Profile - Bama LB Jihaad Campbell
No. 11 - Jihaad Campbell - Age 21 - Junior - 6’3 - 235 - 4.52 - Alabama
2025 Profile - Georgia Safety Malaki Starks
Malaki Starks has long been thought of as the best safety in this class over last 12 months.
2025 Profile - S Carolina's Nick Emmanwori
Nobody saw their stock adjusted as much as Emmanwori did this spring at the NFL Combine.
2025 Profile -Texas Safety Andrew Mukuba
Our 7th different Longhorn to make the Sturm 60 (and one more still to come):
2025 Profile - Notre Dame S Xavier Watts
No. 0 - Xavier Watts - Age 23 - RS Senior - 6’0 - 204 - 4.56 - Notre Dame
Also, if you missed the first nine weeks or want to see all the other profiles, here are the instructions on that:
There are two ways to see each completed profile. The easiest one is on the website, there is a topic link at the very top that you can use whenever you want to roll through files. You can also make sure your account profile has opted-in to all of the profiles being emailed directly to you.
And here is the FAQ story from a month back:
The 2025 "Sturm 60" Draft Primer & FAQ
Parts of this essay have been used in years past for this annual primer.
Additionally, here is where we are in the project and the profiles we have completed. I have ordered them by draft grade tier, but I have not sorted inside each tier. So, keep that in mind. There are no rankings inside tiers at this time but that is coming when we stack the board on the Monday of draft week (21 days from today).
So, we made it!
But, wait. No Quarterbacks?
Of course I am going to do Quarterbacks. In fact, as I fly across the Atlantic Ocean twice in the next week, I will be grinding the tape of the QBs for the days ahead in which I return. Those will all show up in the “normal” Sturmstack feed.
I also will do 15 more names in total to get us to 75 this year. So, four more QBs and 11 wildcards and the names below are most likely my final list.
If you see any names on the list we that are graded, you can see their write-up and film on their profile by hitting the Sturm 60 link on our front page or by simply using google and search “Player name Bob Sturm” and they almost always hit.
Otherwise, I am headed to the airport on Tuesday and am taking a bit of an off week before the final sprint.
Why does Cam Skattebo get such little attention in mock drafts? Having watched him play in the CFP, the comparisons to McCaffrey.seem valid.
Awesome job Bob! I really, really appreciate all your hard work.
